YouTube to MP3 Converter

YouTube to MP3 converter

Convert YouTube to MP3 free, paste a link and download a clean MP3 in seconds, right in your browser. No app to install and no signup. We extract the best available audio and encode a standard MP3 that plays on any phone, car stereo or music app. Converted files are auto-deleted after a short while, so your downloads stay private.

How it works

  1. Copy the link. Open the video on YouTube, tap Share, and copy the link, or just copy it from your browser’s address bar.
  2. Paste and convert. Paste the link in the box above and press Convert to MP3. We’ll read the video and prepare the audio.
  3. Download. When it’s ready, press Download. On iPhone, tap and hold the button and choose “Download Linked File”, then open it in the Files app.

About audio quality

MP3 is the most universally compatible audio format, it plays on virtually every phone, computer, car stereo, and music app without conversion. Because YouTube’s own audio is already compressed, converting to a very high MP3 bitrate won’t recover detail that isn’t in the source; we aim for a clean, faithful MP3 rather than a misleading “320 kbps” label on upsampled audio.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no charge, no signup, and no app to install. We cover costs without making you jump through hoops.
What audio quality do I get?
We convert the best audio track YouTube provides into a standard high-quality MP3. YouTube’s source audio is typically around 128–160 kbps, so we’re honest about that, a real, clean MP3, not an inflated number that doesn’t add any actual detail.
Is it safe?
There are no fake download buttons, no pop-ups, and no surprise redirects. There’s exactly one Download button, and it points straight to your file. Your converted files are auto-deleted after a short time.
Is it legal to convert YouTube to MP3?
It depends on the video and where you live. Converting content you own, public-domain material, or videos whose creators allow downloads is generally fine; copying copyrighted music without permission usually is not. This is not legal advice, only download audio you have the right to use.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. iOS handles downloads differently, so after converting, tap and hold the Download button and choose “Download Linked File”, then find it in the Files app under Downloads.
MP3 or M4A, which should I choose?
MP3 plays on virtually every phone, car and app, so it is the safe default. M4A (AAC) is a little more efficient at the same file size and is the native choice on Apple devices. For most people, MP3 is the right pick.
Why only MP3 right now?
We’d rather do one format really well than show options we can’t honestly deliver yet. More formats are on the way.
